About me

I’m Blake Lyle, an educator and street/documentary photographer based in Baltimore City.

My work focuses on the interplay of light and shadow, to capture the raw humanity of individuals navigating everyday life under late-stage capitalism. Influenced by the traditions of American and Japanese street photography, as well as the philosophy of wabi-sabi, I aim to elevate fleeting moments into deeply resonant stories that reflect both personal and societal complexities

Since picking up a camera in 2012, I’ve been committed to creating work that is grounded, thoughtful, and rooted in honest observation.
